Assault Survivor Kits is a program that touches all ages in our community by providing a sweat suit and personal care items to rape and assault survivors when clothing is retained as evidence by law enforcement officers. Without this program, the already traumatized victim faces the prospect of leaving the hospital in a paper gown. Assault Survivor Kits was started as an Assistance League of Omaha program in 1994. Since the inception of the program, over 6200 Kits have been provided to hospitals and shelters in the greater Omaha community.
